How beatific is a team when its Preseason All-American can’t score and they still get by 30?
Stephen Curry of Davidson was doubled, tripled and quadrupled-team in a Preseason NIT succor game terminal night. Curry, who had been averaging 35 points a game, took only three shots and came up empty with set points, but Davidson still rolled to a 78-48 win against theologist of Maryland.
Andrew Lovedale did all the hard impact scoring 20 points and had 10 rebounds. Bryant Barr scored all of his 18 points off of three-pointers, and Will Archambault scored 13 points, including three from the three-point arc.
Ok, theologist is no North Carolina or river or Duke, but that was a pretty awesome win.
I’m still not sold on Davidson yet. They seem to be ESPN’s and everybody’s Flavor of the Month for what it accomplished terminal year.

And big surprise! North Carolina is the unanimous number pick in both polls again with or without their Tylers.
USC, which forfeited two games to Seton Hall and Missouri in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off in San Juan over the weekend was the only team to drop out of the top 25.
Can you say, “overrated”?
The Trojans were replaced by Xavier. The Musketeers had a enthusiastic hebdomad that was capped off with a 63-58 get over previously 12th ranked Memphis in the championship game in Puerto Rico on Sunday. The Musketeers entry in the top 25 at 16th by ESPN/USA Today and 20th by the AP.
Memphis is 17th and 18th this hebdomad in the ESPN and AP polls respectively.
UCLA, which forfeited to Michigan 55-52 in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer at President Square Garden in New royalty City terminal Thursday, suffered the biggest drop from 4th to 11th in the ESPN poll and 13th by AP.
No one moved up more than two notches this week. The highest was Pittsburgh moving up from 6th to replace UCLA at number four.
And can someone please tell me ground the ESPN/USA Today and AP polls are so annoyingly assorted by as some as three or four spots in their team rankings?
Enjoy!
