Caleb Campbell believes in everything the flag stands for. So does the Squibster!
What the heck is feat on?
The city Lions drafted Caleb Campbell and he found a roster spot, but the Army took it away.
The U.S. Army revised its rendering of U.S. Department of Defense policy two weeks ago regarding soldiers playing professional sports, requiring cadets to rank two eld of active duty before applying for a release. Campbell and the Lions didn’t officially receive notice of the change until the eve of training camp.
“It’s unfortunate, but it doesn’t mean Caleb Campbell’s envisage is dead. It meet means it module be delayed,” Army spokeswoman Lt. Col. Anne Edgecomb told the Associated Press. “We poverty to take care of soldiers and raffish their hopes is not what we intend. But it is what it is.”
Sounds same someone got some bad press up high and definite to force the issue.
Argue with me if you want, but this meet seemed same a intend get to me. Caleb would eventually serve his time and in the mean time would be one heck of a recruiter, almost a super hero. Can you envisage a pro football player telling you the Army was a enthusiastic choice in life?

College Basketball’s TitleTown USA

Once or twice a assemblage ESPN does some wacky poll of some sort to find out who’s the best in this and that for sports. From large athlete to biggest bust.
Now the Worldwide Leader in Sports is seeking to find out which United States city is TitleTown USA.
All this month they are temporary places same Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Massillon, OH, Parkersburg, WV, and Valdosta, GA with entertaining and engrossing stats ranging from some high school with a boatload of state championships to professional franchises with a daylong history of success to reassert them being named TitleTown USA.
Whatever!
When it comes to college basketball there’s only one TitleTown USA.
You guessed it - LOS ANGELES!
Just head north on the 405 freeway from L.A. International Airport, exit Wilshire Blvd. and you’re there.
UCLA!
With 11 national championships, 40 word titles, a unreal coach, unreal players, mountain of players sent to the NBA and numerous hall of famers, there’s no question that Los Angeles and UCLA is TitleTown USA for college basketball.
John Wooden, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Lew Alcindor during his playing life with the Bruins), Bill Walton, Marcus Johnson, Gail Goodrich and Reggie Miller are some that have become household names in the concern of college basketball.
UCLA continues to be a college basketball power with three serial final four appearance, and some believe (including yours truly) that a fourth appearance and another championship could happen next year.
I undergo some of you in places same North Carolina, Kentucky and especially Indiana are frowning and think you can attain an argument for your town and school to be called TitleTown USA.
Go right ahead.
I would never substance other enthusiastic college basketball programs such as North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, Indiana, river or America or the people who springy and attend the schools there. I’m actually a big fan of some of those programs. I’m meet stating a fact. No other school has had a greater effect on college basketball than UCLA.
Some of you module also try to attain an argument that UCLA’s 1,642 wins doesn’t become close to Kentucky’s 1,966, North Carolina’s 1,950 and Kansas’ 1,943 on the all-time wins list.
But I’m not talking about wins. I’m talking about titles baby!
Kentucky is second behind UCLA in national titles with seven, Indiana has five, North Carolina has four and river and Duke have three each.
Kentucky has seven titles overall. Hey, UCLA won seven straight from 1967-73! During that period the Bruins had an 88-game success streak. They also have an NCAA record four undefeated seaons (1964, 67, 72 and 73).
We’ll have to move until July 28 on ESPN’s SportsCenter to find out who module be named TitleTown USA (my bet is that it’ll be the small town with the boatload of high school state championship).
But college basketball’s TitleTown USA is in Los Angeles and UCLA!

Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers - here is something you probably won’t see this fall
Aaron Rodgers module be the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.
The real question is if Brett Favre module be the quarterback for anyone besides the backyard barbecue football games with friends and neighbors. If he is, then how can someone same me intend an invitation? Can you envisage Brett Favre throwing you the ball in a pickup game? Wow. It would rip the hands right off your arms and you would still be happy.
Anyway, Aaron module be the QB for the Pack.
Greg Jennings commented on Coach McCarthy’s Monday morning speech.
“It was short and sweet: ‘Aaron’s our guy. If Brett comes, we’ll handle it. But right now and for our future, Aaron’s our guy,’” receiver Greg Jennings said, recalling his coach’s words.
“We’re employed with (No.) 12 and not (No.) 4. It’s the same as when we worked with Favre. Everybody has to support Aaron. That’s what it’s all about, reaching together as a team and moving forward, and that’s what we’re trying to do.”
The Packer players admit they don’t undergo which quarterback would provide them the best chance of winning.
At small one veteran player, back Nick Barnett, acknowledged the possibility there could be a disagreement of opinion among players on the supply of which quarterback – Favre or Rodgers – gives the Packers a better chance to win. But Barnett quickly unemployed that as being a problem that could hamper team chemistry.
“I’m sure each particular guy may have their own opinions,” Barnett said. “But right now, it’s about whoever they choose, that’s who we’re feat to roll with.”
All we undergo is that Aaron Rodgers module be taking the snaps once the season begins.
