The Hornets had the Spurs in their hand. It was all but over.
It was described this way.
It’s the team of the decennium against the team of the future.
It’s the power of the hill vs. the new banter on the block.
Its terminal year’s NBA title winners squaring off with this year’s Southwest Division title winners.
Turns out the old power of the hill had enough in them to pull out the series and send the Hornets home. This got them thinking. Maybe we need more.
Now they have more. The New Orleans Hornets signed the most significant free agent mitt in Sam Posey.
The care is worth 25 million for 4 years.
Boston desired to ready him.
Because of future luxury-tax concerns, Boston was apparently reluctant to offer Posey, 31, more than a two- or three-year care starting at the league’s midlevel exception (just under $5.6 million) in spite of Posey’s goodish contributions to the Celtics’ first championship since 1986.
Chris Paul needed more weapons and Sam Posey module bring his timely 3 point shooting. More than that, Sam can guard a aggregation of assorted style players.
This is a enthusiastic signing for New Orleans.

Clippers fans have to be bumming. They forfeited Elton Brand to the 76ers, because the Clippers upset his manager, king Falk. They forfeited Corey Maggette to the Golden State Warriors, can’t remember why. Maybe money.
Anyway, even with the signing of Baron solon the Clippers module suck. Baron cannot carry them on his back all by himself.
It sucks to be a Clippers fan when the Lakers are meet across town. Just off the top of my head the Lakers in my period have had Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson, saint Worthy, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kobe Bryant.
The Clippers in my period have had…the Clippers have had…well, uhh..oh..Elgin Baylor! Not as a player, though, but it still counts doesn’t it? Elgin is vice-president of basketball operations and very beatific at his job.
NBA Elgin Baylor factoid - From the 1960-61 to the 1962-63 seasons, Baylor averaged 34.8, 38.3 and 34.0 points per game, respectively. His 38.3 point per game season average is the highest for any player other than Wilt Chamberlain. Baylor, a United States Army Reservist, was called to active duty during that season, and being stationed in pedagogue state, he could play for the Lakers only when on a weekend pass. However, despite playing only 48 games on the season, he still managed to score over 1,800 points.
The 71 points Baylor scored on November 15, 1960 was a record at the time. The 61 points he scored in game 5 of the NBA Finals in 1962 is still an NBA Finals record. An underrated rebounder, Baylor averaged 13.5 rebounds per game during his career, including a remarkable 19.8 rebounds per game during the 1960-61 season — a season average exceeded by only five other players in NBA history. Baylor was a 10-time All-NBA First Team selection and went to the NBA All-Star Game 11 times.source
Baron Davis
Baron is one of the enthusiastic penetrating guards of today. Somehow he can muscle exclusive or move fluidly exclusive for easy baskets, but he module miss big Elton Brand.
“Before you ask, there was never an underground handshake with Baron Davis,” Brand said Wednesday, addressing speculation that he’d presented solon some category of dedication to return to the Clippers.
Today, we’ll find out if solon feels the same way.
Davis is a two-time NBA All-Star (2002 and 2004). He averaged 21.8 points (12th in the NBA), 7.6 assists (6th in the NBA), 4.7 rebounds and 2.33 steals (3rd in the NBA) patch playing in all 82 games for the Golden State Warriors during the 2007-08 season. solon was meet one of four players in the association terminal season to average 20+ points and seven+ assists (Allen Iverson, LeBron James, Chris Paul) per game.
Entering his tenth NBA season, solon brings career averages of 17.1 points, 7.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.95 steals and 35.5 minutes per game.

So what are the rumors?
The two strongest care with the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets.
Tracy McGrady can’t believe he could go to a success team same the Pistons!

Houston Rockets
Let’s start with the Rockets. Tracy McGrady said he desired to win, so feat to the Pistons would be fine with him. Let’s be clear though, Tracy was meet speaking off handedly, he has no problem returning to the Rockets to play with Yao Ming.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith reported on ESPN New Tuesday night that he spoke with McGrady and that McGrady wouldn’t mind a trade to Detroit.
Said Smith: “It’s certainly not a finished care by any stretch of the imagination. It’s not as if Houston and city has even talked yet. But is city interested? Definitely.
“Is Tracy McGrady interested? Yes he is. I spoke to Tracy McGrady earlier. His basic thing is he’s very happy in Houston but he wants to win. So some is a success situation for him is something he is more than selection to entertain.”
Golden State Warriors
The other care being talked about is picking up the Golden State Warriors center Andris Biedrins. This could happen if Ronny Turief does end up with Golden State. The care would refer Chauncey Billups.
The 6-11 Biedrins was the No. 11 overall pick in 2004. The 22-year-old started 59 of 76 games terminal season, averaging 10.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.24 blocks, shooting 62.6 percent from the floor.
The Warriors might be selection to attain a trade once their care for Ronny Turiaf has been completed. Golden State prefabricated a four-year, $17 million offer to the restricted free agent Turiaf of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers have until Thursday to match the offer or they module retrograde Turiaf, a 6-foot-10 forward who averaged 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game terminal season.

Image details: NBA Finals Game 6: Los Angeles Lakers v Boston Celtics served by picapp.com
The Laker organisation is meet as stable as ever, but they may have to retrograde a player or two. Don’t calculate the Lakers and Kobe Bryant out meet yet.
The Golden State Warriors on Thursday signed Los Angeles Lakers forward and restricted free agent Ronny Turiaf to an offer sheet.
According to a report on the Los Angeles Times’ scheme site, the Warriors offered a four-year, $17 million lessen to Turiaf, who averaged career highs in points (6.6), rebounds (3.9) and minutes (18.7) terminal season.
Give a hand to the Warriors. They forfeited team cheater Baron solon to the Clippers. Baron desired to play with Elton Brand, but he skipped out and went to the 76ers on advice of his agent, king Falk.
The Warriors then signed Corey Maggette from the Clippers to a five assemblage lessen and now they are after Ronny Turiaf of the Lakers.
The Lakers still have the right to match the care and ready Turiaf, but they are artefact over the Luxury Tax take and module poverty to ready Sasha Vujacic for his 3 point shooting. They stand to retrograde either Vujacic or Turiaf, unless something else happens.
For those Laker fans that are worried, remember that Andrew Bynum returns this reaching season.
The Clippers module be…well, the Clippers, what else?
Meanwhile, Golden State module meet as disturbed a team as ever!

The Baltimore Hamsterdams?
So I consequence up to this story from the Baltimore Sun: Representatives of the WNBA have met with Mayor Sheila Dixon to handle the possibility of moving a franchise to Baltimore once a new downtown arena is built, Dixon said today. So I consequence up to this story from the Baltimore Sun:
Representatives of the WNBA have met with Mayor Sheila Dixon to handle the possibility of moving a franchise to Baltimore once a new downtown arena is built, Dixon said today.
The mayor also said she’d same to see the new facility built on the same downtown site where the 14,000-seat 1st Mariner Arena stands.
Dixon mentioned the possibility of attracting a women’s basketball franchise after being asked if a new arena should be super enough for an NBA team.
“I think we need a large arena,” she said. “But I don’t think we should rely on attracting the NBA.”
When asked about the city’s prospects for attracting a women’s team, she said, “We’re feat to see where things go.”
Now the video’s subtext talks about a team moving to B-more rather than an expansion, so it really could go either way, but you have to astonishment A) could another team in that region survive and B) if there’s a team possibly moving, which team is it? Currently, there are only 2 WNBA teams without a brother-NBA team (Connecticut, Seattle). Could a third in Baltimore pull it off? What do you think? Which team do you think would move or is this the expansion talk we heard moving around during the off-season?

It is a big pile of money. Bigger than you module see in your period of slaving at a regular job.
Andrew Bogut module sign a 5 assemblage extension for 72 million bucks.
The signing should also silence critics who feel the team hasn’t shown a dedication to winning, Bauman said. The hiring of Scott Skiles as coach and the trade for Richard President demonstrated to Bogut that the team was making a push to be competitive.
“These moves show Andrew this team is sworn to success now,” Bauman said.
The extension does not affect the nearly $7 million Bogut is owed for the upcoming season, the final assemblage of his rookie contract.
Despite the Bucks’ struggles in the past two seasons, Bogut indicated he desired to stay with the team.
He played in 78 games terminal season, averaging 14.3 points and 9.8 rebounds.

Ordinarily, you would find me grave of a signing same this, but this is not the ordinary. Evangelist Hammond helped Joe Dumars build the Pistons and now he is trying to do the same with the Bucks. Think it over; they now have Michael Redd at shooting guard, Andrew Bogut at center, and Richard President at small forward. That is a pretty powerful nucleus. Throw in Scott Skiles at coach and this team is ready to move up the ladder!

The Brett Favre situation in Green Bay with the Packers is still a daylong structure away from being resolved. As it stands, Favre has asked for his release and the Packers denied his request.
Now what? One of four scenarios module probable play out over the next few weeks.
1. Brett Favre decides to stay retired. This could happen if Favre thinks it’ll be too arduous to unretire and he decides to stay retired for good.
2. The Packers release Favre. While the Packers have denied his release once, they may be pressured to provide Favre his wish.
3. The Packers trade Favre. If the Packers don’t poverty Favre back but Favre wants to play, Green Bay may opt to trade him to a team Favre agrees to go to.
4. Favre returns as the Packers’ starting quarterback. While this may not be a probable scenario, it definitely is possible.

What is feat on? Tayshaun is mentioned as the cement guy for the Olympic team.
The Glue Guy? Is Tayshaun prefabricated of glue? Is he supposed to bring the glue?
No, Tayshaun Prince is on the Olympic team because he is not selfish; he does not need points or minutes or anything really.
So what does he do? Well, for starters, he guards the best player on the other team and often makes miracle blocks of what seemed to be easy fast break buckets. Then when he gets warmed up, he can learn the 3 pointer from the side or take his Negro downbound on the box.
Tayshaun is what you call a mismatch player. 6′9″ tall with a 7′ length and excellent passing movement. Who do you guard him with? Need an emergency point guard in the middle of the game? Tay also plays the point at times.
Yeah, you intend the picture; he pretty much does what needs to be finished to win.
Let’s say that again…to win.
Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski called Prince a “glue guy” at terminal month’s news word announcing a roster that includes Kobe Bryant, LeBron saint and Dwyane Wade.
Prince is “a champion,” Krzyzewski told the city Free Press. “He’s probably played as some big games as any of the guys we selected. He’s a star at playing with stars, whether he scores four points or goes for 20.”
Prince, a 6-foot-9 forward, averaged 13.2 points per game this past season with the Pistons — the second-fewest for any Team USA member — and probable module be used at the Olympics as a antitank stopper rather than a scorer. But he might be the unsung hero.
“You have to have guys that are selection to sacrifice and do some other things, and I definitely feel that I am that guy,” he said.
If the USA is to intend the metallic they have to think team and not individualist points. Tayshaun is meet the guy to intend that started.
